Queen Royalty, a native of Jacksonville, FL. now a resident of Atlanta, Ga. (Shrisma K. Smith) is a refreshing, multi-faceted talent in this ever evolving industry of entertainment. A native of Jacksonville, FL., this dynamic recording artist, rapper, songstress, song-writer, arranger, poet, author, actress, fashion designer, exhibition artist, stylist, hair designer and entrepreneur is sure to delight all of your interests of artistry. Within the music she creates, Royalty presents you with a moral mix of life experiences and daily trials. This performer always has an encouraging word with a strong emphasis on non-profane language; her focus is to deliver strong messages for all listening audiences. Royalty has been influenced musically by an eclectic group of performers such as Mary-Mary, Yolanda Adams, Tupac, Mary J. Blige, Kirk Franklin, Kenny-G, and LeCrae. Royalty is an original creator responsible for writing and arranging her own works whether it be poetry, fashion-design, lyrical compositions or song composition. Royalty has spent the last several years developing and honing her talents as she has performed or collaborated with numerous of different artists. She has also enjoyed label recognition with Jive Records in 2000.
Of note, Royalty is a broad minded artist who never limits her talents. She has been a rapper for the Rap the Vote Organization, for the Duval County Democrats of Jacksonville, Florida where she received honorable Certificates of appreciation for her valuable contributions which focused on the use of political hip-hop to help spread the word on political issues in the world. She has also served as an assistant to the Director of the Affirmative Action Board for the Democratic Party of Duval County, under the direction of Mrs. Dorothy Hughes while also serving as a recruiter for the Independent Members of the Young Democrats of Duval County. Royalty has performed as a rapper and vocalist at church functions, youth rallies, social – clubs, Democratic political campaigns and has also been featured on a Tallahassee, Florida news broadcast for upcoming campaigns in 2006. Royalty was also awarded the prestigious Editor’s Choice Award by the International Library of Poetry for her unique perspective and original creative writings which were judged to possess the most exceptional qualities in poetry; one editor in particular suggested that Royalty should become one of the thirty-three poets whose artistry would be recorded professionally as part of a new CD poetry collection entitled “The Sound of Poetry” in 2006. Royalty has been casted for stage plays, an HBO Documentary entitled “RECOUNT” and two motion picture entitled “Ride” and recently “Lottery Ticket”, due out in April 2010, just to name a few.
This artist is also the creator and designer of the originally designed, first of it's kind (Civil Rights/Ethnic) Flag, entitled “From Rosa -To Obama”, which is on display & archived in the Troy University’s Rosa Parks Museum located in Montgomery, Alabama by the Museum’s Director, Georgette Norman as of February 4, 2009; To God be the Glory. Royalty's poetry is also being displayed and sold in the Troy University's Rosa Parks Library & Museum also as of February 2009. Royalty plans to reach the masses with her positive messages based on real life, Bible based lyrics. Also, within her artistic profession she plans to establish fashion boutiques in three major cities and publish her first book of poetry, entitled “Faithful Foundations”. Royalty has since launched her own Ministry in January 2010 entitled, “Perfect Praise Ministries. Royalty's music is now being aired internationally on AM-1570 “The Light” as well as WIGO-Streaming Faith radio station & the Brother Derrick-Urban Gospel Beat Radio Show as well as other stations across the globe. Her new debut album is entitled “Forever Blessed” due to release in mid 2010. Royalty is not only talented, but she possesses the necessary Faith in God, ambition and perseverance it takes to survive the Art, Entertainment, Fashion Industries and last but certainly not least, Ministry!
