.... Born in Berkley California to parents Debra and father Alexander Sanders, the youngest of three, Donovann D Sanders aka(streets child) unlike so many young black children i was raised in a home with both my mother and father. livin in east oakland, CA off 35 ave on sutter st. is where life was most affected. Being so young at the time and realizing that the reason for my mothers stayin out all night, and sudden change of attitude was do to the fact that she was addicted to drugs. With my older brother and sister leaving home to stay with close friends and fam, simply not being able to deal with the arguring plus the fighting between both my mother and father as well as my mom and granny if not more, i was left on my own. Shortly after leavin 35th living outta motels with my parents, my eyes had to bear witness to alot of fukd up sht. Being the only child left living with my parents i had to figure out a way to cope wit evrything,and writting poetry was it. i really took shit hard but kept it bottled up. I kinda went into a shell expressin myself with a pen and a pad. Eventually moving to north oakland where the disfunctional family lifestyle continued, both my brother and sister moved back home, and .....well the rest is in the album.
