T-Note

Tyrell Ford aka T-Note was born 1976 in the Bronx. Coming up music and playing football were my 2 greatest loves in life. I first noticed my love for music when I was 11 years old. In school I use to make beats on the lunchroom tables at lunch time, and the kids that like to rap would gather around and spit their lyrics. I loved it, and the kids in school started recognizing me for my creative rhythm. As I got older I thought I wanted to be an artist and tried to rap, but it just wasn’t me. What was and still is me is creating the music. In J.H.S I was in the school band and learned how to use many instruments.
Learning how to use live instruments really enhanced my ability to create the sounds that I look for in producing my music. Coming up it was hard for me to create music from home, because I didn’t have the tools. I had no computer and no keyboard. I wanted to get a summer job when I was 14 so I can save up for my first keyboard. I bought my first $300 keyboard and I was happy and from then on, is when I was able to show my love for music. I still had the ability to write music as an artist, and I still do, but first come production. I produced a lot of music for local gigs but nothing major. I’ve been producing music on a high level for 11 years now and still pushing for my big break. Music is everything to me. My goal in music is to work with or for a major label and help music excel to the next level.
